Botulinum toxin
Reduces contraction in specific muscles so movement lines soften.
It works on dynamic lines only — forehead, glabella, crow's feet. Lines visible at rest do not go with it, and that is the distinction most people are told too late. Onset is 3–7 days, peak at two weeks, duration 3–5 months. We do not freeze faces, and that is a choice rather than a limitation.

- Neuromuscular disorders such as myasthenia gravis
- Infection at the injection site
- Known hypersensitivity to the agent

- Stop aspirin and blood-thinning analgesics 3 days before if medically appropriate
